How Do We Inspire Action?

There's a moment I've witnessed dozens of times.

A seasoned executive who has built teams, navigated crises and led entire organizations through transformation takes the stage with total command. The posture is confident, the words are polished, the delivery is practiced. The room watches respectfully. And then it ends. Applause, a few nods, people reaching for their phones. Nothing shifts. No one leans over to a colleague and says we need to talk about that. No one leaves with a new commitment or a changed perspective.

The leader was confident. The message just didn't land.

That gap, between a leader who can fill a room and one who can genuinely move it, is exactly why we created the Inspire Experience.

That gap, between a leader who can fill a room and one who can genuinely move it, is exactly why we created the Inspire Experience.

At Cerené, we believe that leadership is not just about what we do, it's about how we show up in the world and inspire action. Nowhere is that more viscerally true than when a leader steps onto a stage, even if that stage is the front of a board room or their employees. Whether addressing their board, delivering a keynote at a conference or sharing a new vision of the future with their team, the way they show up at the front of the room reveals much about who they are as a leader, and as a result, what people believe them to be capable of achieving and whether or not they want to follow. An audience looks for their values, their presence, their conviction. Their voice is not just a communication tool… it is THE most powerful leadership asset.

The Inspire Experience was born from a simple but radical idea: what if leaders didn't just have a message, but could deliver it in a way that quite literally had people lean in and see this new future as an opportunity for themselves, so much so they are moved into action?

What is the Inspire Experience?

The Inspire Experience is an immersive journey that transforms ideas and stories into an unforgettable keynote. Through expert coaching, hands-on practice and a deeply intentional design, participants walk away with the skills, confidence and clarity to effectively deliver their unique message in any room, to any audience, at any stage of their career.

This is not to be confused with a public speaking course, a polished-slides workshop or even a tips-and-tricks seminar. It is a full-body, full-self reckoning with the question: What do I actually have to say, and how do I create a picture of the future inside of which people are inspired to take action?

The experience is structured to move participants through distinct layers of developing, practicing and delivering their keynote. First, we explore the structure of the keynote that serves as the tripod to the canvas we paint together. We excavate the stories and ideas that bring to life the main point of the keynote, then build the craft to give those ideas shape and voice. Finally, we practice the delivery with feedback that is both rigorous and deeply human. Every element of the design is crafted to spark creativity, invite a new relationship to performance anxiety and invite leaders into the fullest expression of who they are.

What makes this experience rare, and what participants consistently say makes it transformative, is the rigor that, on the other side, provides a sense of freedom. The Inspire Experience creates a container where vulnerability is not just welcomed but necessary. Where asking for help is not a weakness, but is the gateway to our greatest work. Where the stories of trials, tribulations and lessons learned along the way are raw material for a narrative that can actually serve us, and the people we lead.

why this matters for leaders

The world needs more leaders who are willing to tell the truth, to take risks and to share ideas of a future that serves others. Those messages are punctuated by leaders who have done the inner work of understanding what they stand for, and who can articulate it with enough clarity and conviction that others are genuinely moved.

In the era of desired radical transparency and constant connectivity, the ability to communicate with authenticity is not just a “soft skill”, it is a strategic imperative. Teams follow leaders they trust. Audiences invest in speakers they believe. And belief, real, lasting belief, is earned through the quality of human presence a leader brings to the moment. Their effectiveness is expanded through the structure of the poignant message they share with an incomparable delivery.

The Inspire Experience has welcomed executives across industries: founders preparing to take their company's story to the world, senior leaders stepping into new chapters of their careers, high-potential leaders discovering their voice for the first time and experienced speakers who have been saying the right words for years but have always sensed that something essential was missing. In every case, what shifts is the leader's relationship to their own story, and by extension, the way they lead, who follows them and the actions they take together.

Participants leave not only with a keynote they are proud of, but with a new understanding of what it means to lead with presence. The ripple effects show up when they run meetings, how they deliver difficult feedback, how they cast a vision for their teams. When a leader learns to speak more effectively, every act of communication is changed, and they leave people feeling touched, moved and inspired.

The Facilitators: Two Professional Voices, One Shared Mission

The Inspire Experience would not be what it is without the people who hold the space for it. I am proud to facilitate this experience alongside one of the most extraordinary thinkers and speakers I know, Andrew Sykes. A little about us…

Elise Madrick brings to the Inspire Experience a decade of work at the intersection of human transformation and leadership development. As a facilitator and professional speaker, Elise has designed and led some of the most highly regarded executive education programs in the country, including her work at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Her coaching is grounded in ontological methods, a practice that looks not just at what leaders do, but at who they are being and how that shapes everything around them.

Elise meets leaders at their edge: in transition, in reinvention, in the moments when the old version of themselves no longer fits and something new is trying to emerge. As a speaker herself, she understands from the inside what it means to stand in front of a room and ask others to believe in something you believe in completely. She brings that lived experience, along with extraordinary warmth, precision and an unfailingly supportive presence, to every participant in the Inspire Experience. She does not simply coach leaders to speak better. She helps them become leaders who have something worth saying.

Andrew Sykes is a professor, poet, professional speaker and the CEO and co-founder of Habits at Work. He is a Lecturer at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, where his course on Entrepreneurial Selling has been consistently ranked among the best business school classes in the United States. He is the co-author of The 11th Habit and has spent his career at the intersection of behavioral science, human performance and transformational leadership.

Andrew combines the rigor of research with the beauty of poetry and the power of inspiring oration. His speaking and facilitation approach is unlike anything most leaders have encountered. He is intellectually precise, unexpectedly moving and relentlessly focused on what it actually takes to change. As a keynote speaker in his own right, Andrew knows what separates a presentation from a performance, and a performance from a moment of genuine transformation. He brings all of that knowledge, along with a rare generosity of spirit, into the Inspire Experience.

Together, Elise and Andrew create a facilitation dynamic that is both challenging and deeply supportive. They push participants to go further than they thought possible and catch them when the leap feels frightening. While they bring different ways of seeing things and different languages for the work, the combination is greater than either alone.

An Investment in Your Most Enduring Asset

Leaders invest in strategy, in systems, in talent, in technology. The Inspire Experience is an invitation to invest in something that outlasts all of it: the ability to move people with the truth of who we are, what we stand for and the future we’re out to create.

There is no algorithm for that. No slide deck that can replicate it. No AI that can stand in your place when the room goes quiet and something real is being asked of you.

What we know from the leaders who have been through this experience, and from our own years of standing at the front of rooms, is that when a leader finds their voice, everything changes. Their presence deepens. Their teams listen differently. Their impact expands in ways that are hard to quantify but impossible to miss.

The Inspire Experience is for leaders who are ready for that kind of change. Not incremental improvement. Not a better version of what they have already been doing. Genuine, recognizable, lasting transformation.

If that is what you are seeking, we would be honored to go there with you.
