Building the Futures We Choose, 108 Days at a Time
Most futures are not chosen. They are inherited through habit, circumstance and unexamined momentum.
At Cerené, we work with a different premise. The future is something we build through who we practice being, day after day with deliberate development.
This is why the work in our flagship Éléments Experience unfolds across 108 days. Transformation requires time, support and structure. When given the right container, insight matures into skill, skill becomes habit and habit reshapes what becomes possible.
We are shifting the narrative from, “What might my life have in store?” to “What am I going to create in my life? And, who will I become to be a match for the impact I want to have?”
When we take this stance over 108 days, individuals move from seeing differently to living differently, supported by community, coaching and deliberate skill-building.
Now, sometimes when folks hear us speak about reinventing a new future, they take it as needing to fix something that is broken. When in reality, we engage in this work from a place of wholeness. Each individual with whom we work is whole and complete just as they are. There is nothing inherently wrong. This work is about building new foundations that allow new and exciting futures to emerge that previously weren’t available!
So… what do these 108 days have in store?
Building the Futures We Choose:
A 108 Day Pathway to Endless Possibilities
Before we ever gather, participants begin with guided prompts and intentional preparation.
Our team shares monthly reflection prompts initiating the first release of old identities, opening space for something new to emerge.
One month before the Experience, our participants engage in a coaching session with one of our expert facilitators to dive into what they’ve learned about themselves so far in the process, defining what they’ll go to work on in the initial eight days and how they will show up to both get the most out of the Experience while also being a contribution to the group.
Finally, two weeks before, the cohort comes together to complete some of the initial identity work and declare what we’re out to create in the initial eight days in the presence of our community.
Then, we gather for eight immersive days.
The First 8 Days: The Experience
This eight-day Experience delivers our Core Curriculum through three integrated modules designed to deconstruct identity, build capability and establish lasting community.
Module 1: Who You’ve Been & Who You Are
Participants examine the stories they have been living inside and how they have shaped how they think, decide and relate. Together, we…
Deconstruct old narratives that no longer serve
Create new internal foundations
Understand identity as something constructed, not fixed
Answer the question, “What is mine to do?” Yes, in life and in the world!
Module 2: Skill Acquisition
Once we’ve created the space for something new in our lives by cleaning up what has historically limited our potential, we have the opportunity to add in something new! We choose a skill to go to work on that contributes to, in some shape or form, our answer to the question, “What is mine to do?” We do that through deliberate practice. In part two of the Éléments Experience, we…
Learn rapid skill-building through Cerené’s 8-Step Methodology
Explore peak-performance mindsets
Practice feedback and embodied growth
Design the structures needed to foster effective and efficient skill development
Module 3: Build Your Transformation Community
We’ve done the initial identity work and chosen our skill to go to work on for the remainder of the Experience. Now, it is time to build our “crew” because transformation does not happen in isolation! In part three of the Éléments Experience, we design a highly selective and curated group of individuals that will hold us accountable and ensure we do all we’ve committed to in order to become the person we said we would, and produce the outcomes we promised to ourselves and others. Together, we…
Craft powerful commitments
Learn enrollment and accountability structures
Surround ourselves with allies in our evolution
These relationships become the container that holds the work through the remaining 100 days and long after the Experience ends.
Across these eight days, participants are held, challenged and activated through powerful group sessions, deep introspection and cultural experiences. The work is immersive, focus-demanding and boundary-pushing.
Participants leave feeling used up in the best way and energized by newly available possibilities.
Then, we venture back to our realities with a power toolkit ready to be employed.
Group video calls to anchor learning and strengthen community
Weekly meetings with an accountabilabuddy
Three one-on-one coaching sessions with a Cerené coach
A structured integration plan to stabilize insight and refine practice
Insight opens the door. Structure keeps it open.
What Happens After You Leave?
The First 20 Days: The Cocoon
Time to get everything in place!
When we return to real life, it’s easy for old environments to resurface. In these first twenty days, we are busy getting everything we need in place - all the tools to practice, a skills coach, the time built out in our calendar, a removal of the distractions that will get in our way. We are highly focused on reorientation. Emotional turbulence is worked through rather than avoided, and we begin to get organized and acclimated to life with a new sense of identity. We are already busy at work with practicing, and we’re working through the kinks that might come up along the way. We are building out our structure for perfect practice, because without it, momentum fades.
By day twenty-eight, participants are dialed into their practice and have all the structures in place to succeed.
The Next 40 Days: Emergence
The next forty days look like repetition.
Participants continue practicing the chosen skill, meeting consistently with their accountabilabuddy and cohort, continuing to develop expertise in their skill of choice with the help of their coach and reinforcing new ways of being through continuous action. This is the time to put our heads down and DO THE WORK. And when (not if) we feel like giving up because we’ve told ourselves one of the most common, unhelpful stories out there, “it’s hard”, we ring up our accoutabilibuddy to help us get back on course.
About halfway through these forty days, life starts to feel busy, and other things come up. It’s in these moments that remind ourselves that this is OUR choice to create the future WE said we want. We rely on others in our cohort and our coaches to help us stay on track, work through performance plateaus and relationship issues that are bound to emerge. We are becoming different humans, afterall!
The Final 40 Days: Teach others how to fly
The best way to learn? Teach! While we continue developing our skill, we also begin teaching the skill to others.
Teaching sharpens mastery, reveals blind spots and integrates the work fully. When we learn where our skill gaps exist, we can go to work on those areas to continue our journey to mastery. Some people choose to host fun events (e.g. sip and paint), some choose to teach those in their family (e.g. teaching a family member how to write a novel as you write yours) and some choose to coach their team members, sharing a new lesson each week in team meetings. No matter the approach, teaching others the skill we’re working on not only strengthens our own practice, but it creates a community of people who are now in our corner, rooting for our success.)
By the end of 108 days, the skill has become part of our lives! We now have the beautiful privilege of looking in the mirror and not recognizing the person staring back at us, even in a small yet significant way.
Why might you take on this adventure?
Take it from our community…
“Whether you are at a pivotal point in your life or career, or simply want to see what you are truly capable of, there is no better way to figure your your next steps than to take the leap into the unknown and step outside of your comfort zone surrounded by amazing humans who will support you on this new journey.”"You will love the version of you that is ready to introduce themselves to you and carry you throughout the rest of this life's journey! What do you have to lose, except more time! Now is the time~soar!”“We move from living a life feeling constrained by the stories we tell ourselves and society tells us and believing those stories into feeling that you can become anything you want.”
“It’s almost like a sponge, just taking everything in and the ability to see how that impacts your life going forward. At the end, there is success that you can see.”
“Society and even sometimes friends and family put limitations on your life. Realizing that the box lid can be broken and you can pop out of that box and be much bigger than you thought you could be.”
“It doesn’t matter where you are or what stage of life you are, ages and stages are almost irrelevant."
“I want everyone to be able to feel where I am at right now.”
“If you're stuck in any way, then definitely do the program.”
“This sense of freedom that you get to feel when you come. Anyone can benefit from this Experience.”
“Everyone at some point in their life needs to take time to think through their past and their future to implement what it is they want in their life.”
“If you want to have the most fulfilled life, you have to take the time to do this Experience.”
The End?
When reinvention becomes who you are, completion of the Éléments Experience feels like just the beginning! And, it is. Once you’re in our community, we engage in three, 108-day “sprints” per year, each time taking on a new skill. Because we can, and because the world needs more extraordinary humans who are at constant work on themselves in the service of others.
If you’re curious about how you might step into a new possibility for your future, let’s chat.
